He takes the paper from her as it’s handed to him, and he strains to read it. Unfortunately, along with the aging and yellowing of the pages, the letters are bit smudged; leaving the document difficult to read. Furrowing his brow together, he can decipher a few separate words, but that’s about it.
❝Um…not really. I mean, I can read some of the words, but not enough to fully read it. —— It’s probably just something talking about how awesome I am, anyway—❞
He’s joking at the end, of course. He sends her a grin to further prove this, before handing the letter back to her with a light shrug.
She watches him inspect the old, delicate letter and feels a slight disappointment when he replies with not being able to make it out. She was looking forward to finding out what kind of secrets if might have hidden or maybe solve some sort of exciting mystery but she shrugs it off and raises her eyebrow at Bolin’s joke, gladly returing his grin.
❝ Oh are they? ❞ Her grin widened until she broke out with a laugh.
❝ Well then they’d need a lot more pieces of old, wrinkled paper for that. ❞ Taking the letter back, she refolds it carefully and kneels down to place it back where she originally found it.
